About Sunday

I'm sitting here on the sofa in the green room. All the other kids are sitting in the living room watching an episode of the Waltons. Ive just finished a brew and now i'm ready to write. I'll start with a picture..

 This picture doesn't have anything to do with what I'm gonna write.. i just thought it was cool ;-)

On Sunday the youth lead the service, which was like really fun. Each one of the youth played a part, whether they sang, read a bible passage, shared a testimony, shared communion, or whatever. Yeh it was a good day. 

But oh, the build up to Sunday - we were all nervous, well, i certainly was, on the Saturday when we did the last practice, i felt physically sick and couldn't eat anything. 

Not a nice feeling.

I had to write a testimony and share it in the service, that was the problem, i had to stand, on my own, with a microphone, on stage, in front of the whole congregation and i hate public speaking! Eee! 

But on the Sunday it was like amazing because as i got up to speak, i just felt so much peace, i knew that God was with me, so as i stepped towards the microphone stand, i took a deep breath and said like the shortest prayer ever in my head then i began my testimony. We'll ignore the bit about not being able to look at anybody and staring at the paper the whole time. 'Cus hey, im still learning!

Oh, and heres another cool thing, we all (well the girls) wore the same top, that we'd brought the day before...so that was aweomse.

 The WILD stands for - "Walking in (the) Lord's direction" Neat huh?

We all wore like loads of bracelets too, we just did silly, girly, fun stuff, lol. :-)

So yeh, Sunday was just the-bomb-dot-com.

That's all im writing for now. Im due-for-a-brew.

 

In great company

 

On Saturday me, Zsara, Hannah, Dan, Cassie, Zezi, Rebekah and Ken took part in a sponsored walk around Tittersworth Reservoir to raise money for Christian aid. I think it was about 5 miles. So we met at church at 9:00am and all climbed into the church mini-bus. 

 We got their around 9:30am Registration. The walk officially started at 10:00am. On we went. Woo. We had till 1:30pm to finish the walk, so plenty of time. Which meant we could stop and take as many photos as we wanted (awesome), stop for a drink of water/snack whenever, laugh and talk as much as we wanted. Super.

So we did, lots of pictures were taken, there was a whole lot of laughing and taking and singing going on. Yes singing. Lots of random singing. I even recorded/filmed some of the singing but i may not put it on here, its a little embarrassing and i dont know if the others would be so keen with me putting it on here. 

Yeah, we were tired and some of the up-hill walking could be a little hard but hey, it was all good fun and for a good cause, so it was definitely worth the, tiredness, sweat and aching legs and feet. :-P We stopped around half way at the dam for a quick snack and a drink. We all sat on the wall, legs swinging, rosy cheeks, worn out but still smiling. Rebekah took that opportunity to take some pics.... Thank you Rebekah! :-)(oh and the very first picture was also taken by Rebekah..awesome huh!? ;-)

So, a tiring day but we had perfect weather, we had great company, it was super fun and good exercise and between us we managed to raise around £500. Basically a day full of awesome-ness!

Oh. The things you do when your bored.

After buying snacks and some other naughty but yummy treats, me and the two random tag-alongs...I mean um..the two lovely friends that accompanied me, snooke into church and went into the back baby room while some other people were having a prayer meeting in the main room(the room where the Sunday services and most of the meetings take place)
..we were cold..and hungry..and tired..

So we sat there with only some light coming from a little heater which we gathered around, just the three of us eating 'sensations' crisps..yumm!
And then we all felt a little bad about not joining the others in the prayer meeting, so we decided to have our own little prayer meeting, so we each prayed a little and then no one did, everyone stopped, we were all tired, there was silence.

I was looking around the room awkwardly, Rebekah kept her head down and Hannah stared at her feet.
We were bored, no idea what to do to entertain ourselves that wasn't messy and wouldn't make to much noise :S

So here's what happened next:

We all had our feet in front of the little electric heater.

Hannah- "Oh wow, that looks so nice"
Rebekah- "What does?"
Hannah- " Our feet"
Me- "Our feet? What do you mean?"
Hannah- "Look at our feet, dosnt that make a lovely picture?"
Me- "Ermmm?"
Hannah- "Yeah, with the light shining on our feet, it'd make a cool picture!!"
We all grinned knowingly and grabbed our bags and got out our phones to take 'some' snaps. ¦-)

We had a wonderful time doing loads of wonderful stuff at loads of wonderful places!

Whether we were playing sports or playing games in the camp field...

 or sitting and chilling on the beach while the little ones play in the sea or build sandcastles...

Oh and we got to sit around a camp fire eating yummy toasted marshmallows which i happen to LOVE!

I always think that without toasting marshmallows on a fire while your camping doesn't make your holiday complete. Everybody loves marshmallows, right? especially toasted marshmallows!! mmmm :)

 .....and then also 'the little ones' and remember i said the little ones went to play in the river - yes in the river!

Anyway as i mentioned earlier about the 'little ones playing and swimming in the river' - 

i didnt- i decided to sit and watch and take photos and admire the view....  :)   :)

Don't y'all just love holidays?? especially with all ya family! lunch out, seaside, shopping, sunshine, barbecues!! :) I LOVE IT XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Anyway your probably thinking- Saff, erm why have you put all the pictures together like collages? well i can explain, we had such a good time and there was so many moments that i wanted to capture and keep forevvvvvver, so i just took loads and loads and tons and tons of pictures-actually i think altogether i took about 300 pics!! so i thought it would be best to out the pictures together as there are so many i wanted to show you. Here's a few more pictures for you! just because i love you!

10 things to do before i die

I've been thinking about this for a while and I've finally come up with a list, I decided to do this after reading Sierra's post from keep growing beautiful....

#1 marry a handsome Godly guy

#2 have 4 (or more!) beautiful children

#3 travel to a poor country and help look after and feed the people and children there.

#4 Make Turkish delight! (i love it!!)

#5 foster a child for a while

#6 learn a new language

#7 to keep on and loving and serving my Jesus forever

#8 make a dress...

#9 see the northern lights!!!!!!!!!!

#10 set up a Godly Girly system to help young girls who are struggling with life value themselves and love God with all there heart <3

So that's my list..... what's your list??? why not blog about it!! i'll look forward to reading about it!

hey everyone,

first of all sorry i havent been on here much latley.......

Well, where do i start??? erm... oooo, i know..... well weve had loads of glorious sunshine!!!

its been so hot latley.

So all ive been doing is chillaxin in the sunshine, so good!

Its not just hot, i mean its really hot, super hot, fiery hot!! hotter than its been in a loooooong time!

So its given me an excuse to buy a new pair of sunglasses :)

i love summer, i love all the cute summer maxi dresses and sunglasses and flip-flops and ice-cream! 

 i love that dress.... but i would add a little shrug with it though.....

In the summer, i love tooooooo - - - - - - -- - - sunbathe, chillax, eat icecream, go to the beach and make  ice lollies. =D

Today the little ones went outside and played on the trampoline and then eventually they got bored so big brother Oliver decided to put up the bouncy castle for them . . . . . . ..  . at that moment all you could here were squeals of delight and they threw themselves onto it. :)
